MISSION
Wikimedia Kenya is an independent, not-for-profit organization, whose primary goal is to create awareness about, and access to, Wikimedia projects and other free cultural, educational works within Kenya.
The secondary goal of Wikimedia Kenya is to promote free content and wiki culture in other countries within Africa.
Wikimedia Kenya was the second chapter in Africa to be approved unanimously by the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees on 6th February 2012 thus becoming the 39th Chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation.
