First Board meeting minutes
This was the first board meeting which was elected 31st March 2012. The meeting was held on 14th April 2012 at the Public service club in Upper Hill Nairobi.

Roles Allocation
The method used was proposing and all came to a concensus
- Chairman - David Mugo
- Vice chaiman – Oscar Limoke
- Project Manager – Alex Wafula
- Treasurer – Stephen Wanjau
- Secretary – Ann Njeri
Chapter Incorporation
David will follow up with Wikimedia Foundation for Chapters’ Agreement and Stephen will follow up with Abbas and a lawyer
Wikimedia Council
During the Wikimedia chapters meeting in Berlin there was a council formed to which Wikimedia Kenya chapter signed an intent to join along with several other chpaters.
Wikimedia Kenya projects
Alex will need to follow up on each project and appoint leaders for each
Consolidation of members
There has been uncertainty as to how many members we have Decisions were made on the criteria for qualification for membership -Every member should give a membership fee 500 Ksh per year -levels of membership shall be introduced and each level shall have a criteria for qualification -A membership card shall be given at one of the levels
Wiki loves Monuments
.Has to be actual monuments - List of monuments required Suggestions that came up in case monuments won't work:

There should be an attempt to get sponsors for this
Kenyan Museum
Now that there is a board in place, a proposal will be written to request for permission to put the information on-line for instance the Railways Museum which many do not know about.
Wikimedia Office Kenya
Given the nature of operations in Kenya, to be taken seriously by most institutions and individuals, there is need for an office. In future, the office space can be a Wiki-centre where people can be renting the space for meetings David will come up with a sample proposal.
Wikimedia Kenya Story
Victor is coming to Kenya soon and would like to interview a few guys on their story about how they have benefited from Wikipedia. In particular is the guy who was building a plane in his backyard whom David will try and trace. Also, Steve will follow up on schools in which the off-line Wikipedia was installed and get a sample from which we can tell a story. David will liaise the media to also cover the story.
